All-Russian action «Minute of Silence»

On June 22, 2023, on the Day of Remembrance and Mourning, at 12:15 Moscow time, a minute of silence is simultaneously declared throughout Russia, a minute of mourning in memory of the 27 million citizens who died during the Great Patriotic War.

*** It was at this time, in 1941, that the inhabitants of the Soviet Union were officially informed about the attack on the country by Nazi Germany and announced the beginning of the Great Patriotic War.

Across the country, at 12:15 p.m., life freezes completely for one minute, and daily activities are suspended. The whole country falls silent as a sign of respect for the victims of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. People will bow their heads and remember the relatives and friends who survived the bloodiest war of the 20th century.:

• the broadcasting of television, radio, and cable channels will be interrupted;
• cash registers in shopping malls will stop working;
• public transport and private cars will stop;
• Work will stop at enterprises where the technological cycle allows.

We invite you to join the action and observe a minute of silence for all those who died in this bloody war.
